The Tesla Semi has enough power to go up-to 100 km/h within 5 seconds,which is like a typical sports cars. 
This timing with its max payload of 36,000 kg stands at 20 seconds. 
The Semi truck can even climb up a 5 % gradient at 105 km/h, something a diesel-powered competitor will accomplish at no more than 72 km/h.

Electric trucks also help to reduce their carbon footprint by 30% by 2025.
Taking into account the size of their distribution network, they will reduce the annual emissions equivalent of 500,000 passenger cars with incineration engines.
Which is a very big thing to defend the day-by-day spoiled environment.

#price of the electric truck.

Tesla said during the presentation that for the operation of their electric truck Tesla Semi,
 companies will have to spend an average of 0.77 dollar per kilometre.
At these operating costs, we expected the prices of trucks to be around $247457.77 
This is little bit costlier than the typical diesel trucks, but after use of several years it can becomes cheaper than old one, because the running cost of the Tesla is very low.

Let's talk about batteries..

The other losses are listed for both an interstate driving cycle and an urban cycle. Note from figure 2 that braking losses are fairly minimal for the interstate driving cycle but are a big loss in an urban cycle where we have lots of starting and stopping.At current MPG of around 6.5 MPG this super truck program demonstrated around 10 MPG (1.5 times better mileage).

Cummins published a breakdown of all the losses in a semi truck: engine, aerodynamic, rolling, drive train, aux loads and braking

In other words, at 100 BTU of input energy to the diesel engine, 58 BTU’s is rejected in waste heat.Aerodynamic losses have the reverse effect. Aero losses are minimal in an urban cycle but a big contributor in an interstate cycle where we run higher speeds.
